Hot days for Rome: the dossier for the capital's candidature for EXPO 2030 will be officially presented in these days, an important occasion for the whole country, especially for the theme chosen for this edition 'People and Territories: urban regeneration, inclusion and innovation'.
A topic that represents a new model that is of fundamental importance today to give that boost to the economic development of our country through a renewed quality of life and wellbeing of people.
An even more important occasion if we think that 2030 will be the year of the SDGs, the Sustainable Development Goals that are increasingly at the centre of business development plans, not only in the tourism and catering sector.
As was the case for Milan in 2015, with the EXPO edition held in the new exhibition centre in Rho/Pero, this internationally important event can also generate a positive return for the Lazio region.
I would like to wish Ambassador Giampiero Massolo, Chairman of the Promoting Committee, and his entire team with Director General Giuseppe Scognamiglio, the best of luck for this important step, which may become historic for Rome and the whole of Italy.
Working with cohesion will be very important, especially in the next 12 months, at the end of which the votes will be revealed for the award of the city to host the EXPO 2030 edition.
